Mamata Banerjee was born on 5 January 1955 in a middle-class family in Kolkata. She entered politics from his college. He joined Congress in its youth wing, won his first Lok Sabha election in 1984 from Jadavpur parliamentary constituency,
Mamata Banerjee became the Chief Minister of West Bengal and she is the first female CM of the State. In September 2012. He founded the All India Trinamool Congress in 1998 after breaking away from the Indian National Congress. Mamta ji is also known as a friend. Sister also means elder sister.
Mamata Banerjee served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly from Bhabanipur, West Bengal from 2011 to 2021. He contested the Nandigram Assembly seat and lost to BJP Suvendu Adhikari in the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, [1] although his party had a landslide victory. He became his actor after Vishwanath Chandra Sen in 1967 and Buddhadev Bhattacharjee in 2011. He is the third Chief Minister of West Bengal to lose elections from the region. She is currently the only female Chief Minister of India.
Early life and education
Mamta Banerjee was born in Kolkata, West Bengal to a Bengali Hindu Brahmin family. [2] Mamata Banerjee father name is Promileshwar Banerjee and her mother name is Gayatri Devi. [3] When Banerjee was 17 years old, her father Promileshwar died. [4]
In 1970, Banerjee completed her Higher Secondary Board examination from Deshbandhu Shishu Shikshayalaya. He received a bachelor’s degree in history from Jogamaya Devi College.[5] [6] Later, he earned a master’s degree in Islamic history from the University of Calcutta.[7] After this, he obtained a degree in education from Shri Shikshayatan College and a degree in law from Jogesh Chandra Choudhary Law College, Kolkata.
Banerjee became involved in politics when she was only 15 years old. While studying at Jogamaya Devi College, he founded the Chhatra Parishad Unions, the student wing of the Congress (I) party, defeating the All India Democratic Students Organisation, affiliated with the Socialist Unity Centre. She remained in the Congress Party in West Bengal and held various positions within the party and in other local political organisations.
