Her was born in Amritsar, Punjab. He belongs to Punjabi family and his father’s name is Hari Om Bhatia who was an army officer. However, after some time his family shifted to Delhi and he did his early studies in Delhi itself. After that his father left the army job and shifted to Mumbai with the whole family, where Akshay Kumar studied at Don Bosco High School, although he was not good at studies but he was very fond of sports, so he took up sports. He paid a lot of attention and after finishing his initial studies, he took admission in college, although he was not able to complete his college studies yet, during this time he kept all his focus on martial arts. At that time he had obtained a black belt in martial arts. He then urged his father that he wanted to pursue his career in sports and went to Thailand to learn martial arts. His father agreed to this and he learned martial arts and Thai boxing for 5 years in Thailand.

After returning to India from Thailand, He worked in many different places, although he did not feel like doing all these things and he returned to Mumbai. After this, he started giving martial arts training to the children, one of these children’s father in modelling from the model coordinator, after which he advised him to get into modelling. After this he started modelling and he got a good income from it. After which he shifted his career to modelling, after which he worked in this industry for many years. he started his Bollywood career as a lead actor from the film Saugandh and after 1 year his first successful was released which was named Khiladi and this film gave him a different place in Bollywood, although in 1993 all his films proved to be flops and at one point he was forced to leave Bollywood due to flop films, During this, two of his films were released in 1994, Mohra and Main Khiladi Tu Anari , both of these films did well at the box office and both these films were the highest grossing films of 1994.

After this two films, he never looked back and signed films one after the other and till now he has worked in hundreds of films. He has worked with many actors and actresses during his film career, including many big actors and actresses like Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan. He is such a hero of Bollywood who has worked in all kinds of films whether it is action films, comedy films, romance films or horror films and he has played a very strong role in all these films. He has played a good role in comedy films like Hera Pheri, Phir Hera Pheri, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, which people still remember. Apart from this, he is called Khiladi Kumar and he never backs down in doing action, he has done a lot of action stunts himself in his films. Before 2019, he used to release 5 to 6 films every year and every film used to earn at the box office but due to the closure of all theaters during the coronavirus pandemic, his films could not release much. His films Suryavanshi released in 2021, this film earned a good amount at the box office. He belongs to the army family, so he has also done many patriotic films, including films like Airlift, Baby, Special 26. Apart from this, he also does social work, he donated ₹ 500000 to the Being Human Foundation and built cancer hospital for the Mumbai Police.

To spread awareness among the people, he has also done films like Padman, Toilet Ek Prem Katha. Apart from this, for the martyred soldiers, he had launched an app through which people could help the families of the martyred soldiers and through this app, people had helped the martyred soldiers’s family a lot. During the drought in Maharashtra, he did not charge higher amount of money from the cold drink companies because at that time the companies were going into losses. He donated ₹ 25,000,000 to the PM Cares Fund during the coronavirus pandemic. He is very fitness freak and he wakes up at 4:00 am everyday. Even at the age of 53, his fitness is different from others and he looks quite fit. He married Twinkle Khanna in the year 2001 and their marriage life is going very well, apart from this he has also worked in many music videos. Today every producer of Bollywood wants to work with him because he completes every film in 30 to 40 days which was earlier completed in 1 to 2 years and all the films prove to be successful.
